Caroleen Wilkes presents a donation to PBJ Connections
Teens Help PBJ Connections
Pataskala, OH (February 13, 2010):
Volunteers Ce Ce Wilkes and Nick Vasko hosted a party to benefit PBJ Connections on January 16th. Their unique event was a home shopping party at Ce Ce's parents home where generous vendors gave PBJ Connections 15% of their sales. Ce Ce and Nick invited friends and family to learn about PBJ Connections, eat some great food, and shop for Silpada Jewelry, Dove Chocolate, Tupperware, and Skinaesthetics skin care products.
After all of the shopping was completed and the money counted, PBJ Connections received a generous donation of $300.00 from the event. Finally getting a break from the snow, Ce Ce delivered the donation to Program Director Holly Jedlicka, MSW, LSW and Executive Director Glenda Childress (pictured below). Family therapy sessions cost an average of $100 a session and this donation will help supplement the fee for families who are in serious need of family support but can not afford the full fee.
PBJ Connections is grateful to Ce Ce and Nick. It is inspiring to see young people working so hard to help our organization. Ce Ce and Nick have facilitated volunteer days, have helped us secure speaking opportunities and are promoting us to their friends.
PBJ Connections is a local 501(c)3 organization that provides equine-assisted psychotherapy to area at-risk youth and their families. Equine-assisted psychotherapy has a long history of success at helping youths who are at risk of falling through society's safety nets. PBJ Connections Inc. was founded as a 501(c) 3 charity in October of 2006 and has been serving area families since that time.
